United
Enemies (Malmoe, Sweden) started out as a four piece rockband by the summer
of 2002
when singer Andy Pierce (ex. Nasty idols and Machinegun Kelly) wanted to record
and release
songs that he been written under a few years of time. The line-up was completed
when
Mats Jeppsson (Guitar), Christian "Skoen" Fridlund (Bass) and Ricci
Dahl (Drums) joined after
departed from the hard-core rock a' billy band 69-Hard.
With influences from the early punkrock scene, such as Sex Pistols, Iggy &
The Stooges and
New York Dolls the goal was set early on - to be a band that would bring out
the nerve and the
raw power in the music - fast forward without no doubt.
Their first demo track " I Don't Wanna Change" was recorded and printed in
500 copies and
sent to the music press, web and fanzines. The response was to say at least
- good.
Two more songs were recorded, "New Drug" and "Love Destruction".
With "over the top" live performances and the self financed EP "Love
Kills" they tock their
formula even further. The reviews of Kerrang (UK), Metalhammer (UK), Sleazegrinder
(US),
Rock Report (BE), Slamrocks (IT), No Respect (IT) and more were overwhelming.
The debut album will be released the 25th of April 2007 and is produced by
Henrik Larsson
(The Haunted, Driller Killer)
The
album sums up the essence of United Enemies brilliant sleazy punk/rock music...
Stay tune for more rock n' roll history...
